Leopard’s Leap Chardonnay Pinot Noir 2017

I’ve been guilty of overlooking this budget friendly wine. Chardonnay Pinot Noir is one of my favourite blends and this one is delightfully easy drinking.

The blush colour is enough to inspire any summer picnic. Citrus, grapefruit, strawberries, raspberries and Turkish delights on the nose that are all repeated on the palate. It’s a funny thing, I don’t have much love for Chardonnay, but this rosé This light bodied, off dry, fruity rosé is absolutely perfect for a summertime everyday sipper.

Vini + Viti:

70% Chardonnay, sourced from Durbanville, and the 30% Pinot Noir, sourced from Elgin, were vinified separately. Both were whole bunch pressed, fermented and left on the lees for 6 weeks. Then blended, settled and bottled.
