Sample Policy

Cape of Good Wine is an independent blog. My opinions and reviews are solely my own. Most of the wines that I feature have been purchased by myself.

After a reevaluation of my time, I am currently open to accepting samples for review. As I do not currently accept payment for reviews the following conditions apply:

1.) All samples received will be noted as a sample in its review.

I am open to receiving samples of wine, wine books, and other wine related products (within reason).

2.) Accepting a sample does not guarantee a review.

I review wines when I am able to and will post the wines that I enjoy according to my calendar schedule. The wines will be shared on the blog and on Instagram (and Facebook, though I do not monitor or respond to Facebook feedback).

3.) I retain 100% editorial control over the content of the review.

I appreciate technical sheets and your own tasting notes that highlight the strengths of your product. However, I prefer to taste without outside influence. Posted reviews focus on the positive aspects, but I do not guarantee a completely positive review.

4.) YOU ARE WELCOME TO REPOST MY REVIEWS WITH A LINK AND CREDIT TO THE ORIGINAL POST (BLOG OR SOCIAL MEDIA)

You have my consent to reuse my reviews as long as an attribution is included.
